  • Hi ahla haroon,

    Thanks for your post.

Your error info is not enough, please share more details for us to analyze:

    1. The product name you want to install. For example, Visual Studio 2012 Ultimate.

    2. Your OS version.

    3. If it is actually Visual Studio. Please use  http://aka.ms/vscollect  to gather the installation logs. After using it, you will find vslogs.cab from %temp% folder. Please upload the file to https://skydrive.live.com/   and share the link here.

    4. You should make sure you’ve followed these tips: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en/vssetup/thread/60f71a54-506e-4c70-be98-e993ce6d1ddf

    1) Disable your Anti Virus software

    2) Update your computer (Windows)

    5.  Then you should make sure you have healthy installation package:

         1) Suppose you are using a ISO, Please use this tool http://support.microsoft.com/kb/841290 to verify hash of the iso. The point of the exercise is to generate a hash value (or values) - MD5 and SHA1 - from the .iso file so that it/they can be checked against the known value(s) for that file. Any discrepancy would indicatethat the file was corrupted.

         2) If you are using a web installer, please make sure your network is healthy.
