Hybrid boot and USB

    Question

  • Hi, everyone!

I have a Toshiba Satellite A110 Laptop. I installed the Windows 7 Professional, and the Windows Developer Preview on it. The Developer Preview is cool, but there is a little problem with the Hybrid Boot feature. When I shut down the Developer Preview, it's shuts down well, but if I boot it, the USB devices won't work, so i have to restart the Developer Preview to use my USB devices (for example mouse or pendrive). I checked the Power Options, and I choosed the High Performance power plan but it didn't help.

    Please help me!

    Thanks! :)

  • If you disable Hybrid Boot, does your USB device work?

Go to Control Panel, then select Power Options.
In the left hand pane, click on “Choose what the power buttons do.” At the top of the next screen, select the “Change settings that are currently unavailable.”

Hybrid Boot is enabled by default.
Under Windows shutdown settings, uncheck the Hybrid Boot.

If I have not understood your issue, please provide more details.
