where in your code/module did you put the pop up window for adding records? if you put it in the grid itself it will really keep popping up. better put it in Click but have a trigger that will tell you that you're not adding another record or you're just passing through.

  • What's the data binding method? Do you have a cursor/table already set with the data for the grid?

Are there any records showing on screen when the "cursor does not move"?

Note: No need to shout. Please do not type all in uppercase which makes it harder to read.

Whenever you ask a question, try to explain in some more detail what the situation is. Your one-line message does not give many clues as to what may be happening.

  •  hi!

i have created a form with grid, a parent table have my customer info and child table have the  order details with 3 different fields and when i try to add new record on this child table it takes information on the first row of the grid but the cursor does not move to the 2nd row in this grid another thing is if the cursor goes to the 2nd grid it wont still let me enter the new details on this row.

also when i run this form a pop-up window come open with  3 options

1)do you want to add records in a parent table

2)do you want to add records in a child table

    3) do you want to add records in both

so i want this pop-up window to stop coming up when i add new record

I take it that you have used the form wizard to build these forms because this is not native behavior.

You would be better off not to use the wizards. There is too  much baggage that comes along with them (as you are now discovering).

When you add a new row, you should use this command:

    Append Blank
