Writing unit tests for a C++ application for Smart devices RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have to write unit tests for my smart device project on Win Mo 6.
    I am using VS2008 pro.
    Issues I am facing :

    1) The code I am writing is unmanaged (C++) and so it does not allow me to write unit tests.
    2) If I try and add a Test project to my solution, I cannot reference the .exe of the Project to be tested.

As it appears I need to write my unit tests in managed code(C#).

    Please help me on this.

    Thanks in advance.

  • As you know Visual Studio does not have unit testing tools for native c++ code. You need to resort to 3rd party unit testing tools/libraries. The following article will show you such a library:

    Windows Mobile Native Unit Testing
