Fun with UWF registry exclusions. RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am not sure if this is expected behaviour or not.

On my image, I have 10 file exclusions and 15 registry exclusions, they look a bit like this:

    • C:\Program Data\Microsoft\ (wlansvc, dot3svc, windows defender)
    • C:\Windows\System32\winevt\Logs
    • C:\Program Files (x86)\NTP
    • HKLM\BCD00000000000000000000000000000000
    • HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services  (Wlansvc,Wwansvc,dot3svc,NTP,swin, tcpip\parameters)
    • HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Hardware Profiles\UnitedVideo
    • HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\ (...\Time Zones, Windows Defender, ... MMDevices\Audio)

    Nothing really weird there.

Every boot I get 6 Errors from uwfwmi that it cannot create a file that exists. Of course, to add to the excitement, it does not tell me which these are.

I also get 6 information ones which say "unified write fitler begin add registry exclusion." (and nothing else)

    Is this normal?
