Appearance of property windows

    Question

  • Hi All,

when I try to setup a new operator for SQL Server Agent, the content of the window is not readable...so are all other property windows...I put the screenshot as my avatar / profile picture since my account is not verfified yet so I cannot upload pictures here. Any ideas how to solve the issue? Thanks a lot in advance! Cheers, Flo

  • Do others have the same issue?   Is downloading SSMS 2016 an option for you?   Don't know if your SSMS and the 2016 will play nicely on the same client though...

  • What server role are you in on this machine? You should be in the sysadmin role.

  • Reduce your screen resolution if it is running at a higher than usual value.

  • Definitely either a resolution or SSMS issue....what version of SSMS and does it work from other machines running the same version?

  • Actually I wanted to try to get it to work with 2014, however, I installed 2016 and it works now. Thanks for your support! So far there is no problem using 2014 and 2016 on the same client...I didnt do a lot yet though...
