Windows store app unable to get deployed in Visual Studio

    Question

  • I have developed a windows 8.1 store app which I am able to build in Visual Studio but the package isn't getting deployed.

    Getting the following error:

    Error : DEP0900 : Failed to unregister application "92c52f69-92b2-4b2c-8bd3-973e175fe9c9_1.0.0.0_neutral__y5q14xvc529ej".

error 0x80070003: AppX Deployment operation failed. The specific error text for this failure is: RDSAppXNotifyRecoveryTrigger        AppDashboard

    Any help would be appreciated.

  • Hi vidhi93,

You create simple new application and build if buid(run) successfully then do following step to run existing app to run--> go simple application project ->  Package.appxmanifest file in Solution Explorer  Go->Packaging ->package name text copy package name string(code eg-3d784f5a-5dc6-494b-9098-5a13ed7a2484) and past it in your developed a windows 8.1 store app project-> Package.appxmanifest file package name text.Clean the solution and rebuild it.

  • Hi vidhi93,

Will this thread also help? https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/7946748b-c590-4870-ad8a-f0a421efd870/error-when-degugging-blank-store-app-visual-studio-2013?forum=winappswithcsharp

Basically I think this issue is related with environment instead of coding, let's say if we create a blank app, the same thing will happens, try to repair your Visual Studio otherwise you may need to fix your OS.

You can also try to remove the folder: C:\Users\[your name]\AppData\Local\Packages\[your app family name]\ to see if this helps.
