Tabs disappear from Edit View to Display View RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I'm not sure if I am thinking about this the right way....

I run a Purchase Tracking page and My InfoPath form has tabs (Summary, Details, Logistics etc) as quite a lot of data gets added to these pages.

I have this working in "Edit View", but when I switch to "Display view", the Tab buttons disappear? I'm assuming the Display View removes the buttons as it is putting in Read only view.

Is it possible to do this in Display View? Do I need to add a Web Part? what's the best way to do this?

    Thanks in advance.

  • Is there any conditional formatting on the tabs to hide them in the event of the view being selected?

  • Hi,

You cannot display buttons in read only view but you can display Picture buttons in read only views. Please refer the below mentioned forum post which seems almost similar to what you are doing:
