Microsoft SOAP toolkit version 3 on Windows 2003? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

We have a web service developed in VB, which has been published using Microsoft SOAP toolkit version 3. It has been deployed to Windows 2000 Server. As the support for 2000 serverr is not available, we plan to migrate to 2003. I ran in to several questions while planning to do so.

    1) Is it possible to deploy Microsoft SOAP toolkit version 3 DLL's in to Windows 2003 server?

    2) what kind of migration issues do we need to take care of while doing the migration?

    3) If the 2003 migration is not possible, is there any alternative ways of acheiving the migration?

I read in to several forums for the solution, many solutions suggest to migrate to .NET as the support is not available. We want to avoid using .NET. Other alternate solutions would be of much help for our project.

    Thanks in advance.
