Excel Web Access Web part filter

Question

Hello,
I have an excel web access part which loads an Excel file with pivot tables. http://nl.tinypic.com/r/54c2v4/9 like this. Now I want to have a filter in excel like a slicer works, I select for example a name and all the tables will be filtered at the same time. for example I filter on asset management, and i'll only see the asset management data but If I change my view I also want to see only asset management data there.
There is very little documentation here so I hope you guys can help me.

Hi AmericanIdiotka,
Sorry for delayed reply.
How is everything going?
If there is the category column in excel file in the excel web access web part, you could use the category column as the filters to connection filter web part and excel web access web part.
For more detailed information, you could refer to the article below.

About overview of all the movies, do you want to show the overview of all the movies according to the urls of the movies in the excel web access web part? If you do, it is not easy. Because the excel web access web part is used to display content of excel.

Hi AmericanIdiotka,
You could combine filter web parts and excel web access web part to filter in excel web access web part.
If you want to filter name in excel web access web part, you could connect current user filter to the excel web access web part. For more detailed information, you could refer to the article below.

Hey,
I know you can connect these two filters, but i want something different for example: i have this datamodel http://puu.sh/oiWod/2e9a7a394a.png and i want to show an overview of all the movies, and then i want a filter where you have a list of all the genres, when you select a genre the movies will be filtered for that genre, so i would only see comedy movies for examples if i select the genre comedy.
I am not sure you can use a connected filter for this function and if so i don't know which filter to use.
This is an example i just taught off because i am not at the office at the moment i can clarify this with my own data once I am back in the office on monday.
Thanks in advance.
