  • Question

  • If I have a program originally written in GW Basic, will it run in Small Basic? Yes, it does have subroutines within it.

  • Sorry, no it won't run.  SmallBasic is a new and distinct language based on modern .Net features (eq. graphics are completely different).

However, many simple GW Basic programs could be converted to SmallBasic, depending on their complexity, but basically in most cases I expect it is a rewrite.

A google for "GW Basic" does show up a number of compiliers for GW-Basic, but I haven't tried them.
