Well, I wanted to use existing asp.net membership database, single database for multiple applications so uer don't have to login on each website. Once logged in into centralised login page they can choose which application (or website) they want to run.

I believe the simple solution should be passing encrypted userid and password to the other application or domain website and just validate and auto login. If any one has got any code logic applied already having this in mind.

    Thanks

You might be able to do something with MS Active Directory Federation Services or even easier to do would be OpenID. With OpenID, they will already have authenticated against OpenID and you simply would check for the OpenID.

    ADFS: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc783520(v=ws.10).aspx

    OpenID starter: http://openid.net/add-openid/
