How to recover from when during WebAuthenticationBroker.authenticateAndContinue the OS terminates the app? RRS feed

  • Question

  • If everything runs normal, the app is still running and re-activated after completion of the WebAuthenticationBroker.authenticateAndContinue call with activation.ActivationKind.webAuthenticationBrokerContinuation.

What happens if the system had terminated the app? Will it then also be called with activation.ActivationKind.webAuthenticationBrokerContinuation and previousExecutionState will be ApplicationExecutionState.terminated? So I would have to completely re-initalize my app?

  • 1) Why would the app be terminated?

    2) I assume that you would need to reinitialize the app.  Testing can bear out this answer for you.

NOTE: If I ask for code, please provide something that I can drop directly into a project and run (including XAML), or an actual application project. I'm trying to help a lot of people, so I don't have time to figure out weird snippets with undefined objects and unknown namespaces.
