Sub report is not coming when Exporting it to Excel RRS feed

  • Hi All,

    I have one report in 2005, where I have used Sub Report in Table. When I am Exporting It to PDF It is showing Subreport Data, but When I am exporting it to Excel, Sub Report Data is not coming to Excel and it showing error (Subreports within table/matrix cells are ignored.)  in excel.

    Please anyone can suggest how to resolve this issue.

    Within SSRS 2005, subreports are not exported to excel. However beginning from SSRS 2008, it does export.

  • Hi,

    My requirment is different. I have a group by for Sub report. If I will take it out from Table, sub report data in coming only at the end of the report, not for each grouped values.

    For Example:

    Name Dept Name
    Group by ID
    Name value Dept Name value
    Sub Report (Group by ID)

    Suggest me any work around for this.

  • Hi,

    I had the similar issue and I used List instead of table and add groups on list. By doing so I was able to export subreport in excel. You'll get separate sheet wihtin excel for every group item repeated in list.
