Disable lock screen when user is idle in metro style app.

    Question

  • Hi,

I'm building an app that plays audio using XAudio2 (in a WinRT component). After one minute of listening, the lock screen automatically kicks in, because the user did not give any input.

Is there a way to prevent this from happening?

    Thanks!

Answers

  • Take a look at the Windows::System::Display::DisplayRequest to request the display stay active while your app is active. This is demonstrated in the Display power state sample.
