Forms to Table - Copy and Paste Coding RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I am very new to VBA, Access, and coding in general. I was assigned a project for work involving access and employee data to create an end Report with said data. My question is: I am trying to have a Form where specific information (Employee name, Date of birth, Stock Price, ect) are inputted and after all the information is inputted for it to be "sent" (essentially copy and pasted) into a table (where most of the calculations are done for the end report). Is there a way to write a code in VBA for some of the data to be sent to a table after it is inputted to the Form? Is there an easier way without coding that I am missing? Any help on this topic would be greatly appreciated.

  • You can do this without VBA.

Select the table in the navigation pane.

On the Create tab of the ribbon, in the Forms group, click Form.

Voilà, you have a form that can be used to enter data into the table without using any code.

You can change the design of the form in design view.
