Word 2016 VBA - Error 6313 RRS feed

  • Question

  • In the Layout Option, I can manually check the box "Don't center 'exact line height' lines".  When I run the VBA command for the same option, ActiveDocument.Compatibility(wdExactOnTop) = True, it generates an error 6313, "One of the values passed to this method or property is out of range for the file format."  This happens on any document not set to "Compatibility Mode".  Is there any way to programmatically set that option?

  • In Word 2013 many of the Compatibility Options were removed for documents saved in that version of the file format, and this also applies to documents in Word 2016 file format. So, no, there's no way to set that option (or any of the others that were discontinuted) for any document not in Compatibilty Mode for Word 2010 or earlier.
