clr20r3 - system.security.security RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

We have a program developed in C# 2.0. If we run it locally (on a XP, W2K3 Server, etc) it works fine. But, if I try to execute it from a shared folder on a server (the same one that worked locally) it throws an error:

    EventType : clr20r3     P1 : app.exe     P2 : 1.0.3028.24897
    P3 : 48062023     P4 : newfast     P5 : 1.0.3028.24897     P6 : 48062023
    P7 : 1b     P8 : 0     P9 : system.security.security

I'm not a developer, just the service desk guy. The developer told that the problem is due to some framework configuration that was not properly done. I think that he's correct, but I don't know how to do it.

    Can anyone help me?

    TIA,

    Bob

  • You'll need to assign full trust to the assembly with Caspol.exe.  Not sure if it makes sense to store a service .exe on a shared network drive.  They start up pretty early in the boot process, possibly before the share is available.

  • Solved with:

     C:\windows\microsoft.net\framework\v2.0.50727\caspol.exe -machine -chggroup 1.2 FullTrust
