    Hi,

    my environment SQL Server 2012 setting AG.  I have 1 node cluster ready in this cluster disk as being shown as shared disk.

    i have added other 2 node in cluster and now installing SQL Server on node 2 but getting following error message. Please guide what is the issue and how to fix it.

    The specified directory, "S:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\",
    for the INSTALLSHAREDDIR parameter is not valid because this directory is on a shared disk in a cluster.
    Specify a directory that is not on a shared disk in a cluster.

    Hi,

    For the INSTALLSHAREDDIR parameter, the drive should be a local drive and not a shared drive since it is for installation directory for shared components and you cannot keep the installation binary files in a shared drive.
