Add icon to start menu in Windows Mobile 6.5.3 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I realize this has been asked multiple times, and I have searched through many topics to find the answer, but couldn't find one that worked.

So I have an app, I can install it on my phone, but there's no icon on the start menu. Not even the default icon. I've gone to the Project Properties, and set my icon from there, and I have also tried using the Form attributes to set the Icon. Still, no icon show's up in the start menu. I can use the file explorer and launch the application directly, but not fro mthe start menu.

    C# .net 3.5

    Thanks in advance

  • The start menu icon is created by a deployment project and will appear on your device if you install the cab that results from the deployment project.

It takes all the running you can do to stay in one place. If you want to get somewhere else, you must try to run at least twice as fast as that.

  • Make a shortcut (to Your exe inside Your cab) to be created in \Windows\Start Menu. It always works.
If You'll find my answer satisfactory or helpful - mark it as answered or vote for it! Thank You.
If You think You know better then me, why is Your code not working, then don't waste my time at this forum. Otherwise - do as I'm suggesting.
