MS Data Access Block - HashTable Lifespan Question RRS feed

  • Question

MS Data Access Block make use of DeriveParameter to store stored procedure parameters in the HashTable. In high volume web application, this method is very handy (there is a performance impact when the HashTable is populated first time) as it reduces significant development and maintenance. The question is - Does anyone know the lifespan of HashTable from MS Data Access Block? i.e how long the HashTable holds the parameter collections before being dropped out and re-populated from the database using sp_procedure_params_managed stored procedure.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you,
