  • Hi ,

Please have a look in o the below mentioned articles .

    http://www.petenetlive.com/KB/Article/0000236.htm

    http://www.commodore.ca/windows/exchange/how_to_upgrade_exchange_2007_to_exchange_2010_in_2hours.htm

Your query : Exchange 2007 and DC are running on same server

1.Just build a new domain controller as a ADC before installing exchange server 2010 and complete the replication.

2.Then transfer the fsmo roles from primary DC to secondary DC .Then the newly installed DC will become the Primary DC.

Note : Ensure the replication status by using the below mentioned command .

    repadmin /replsummary

If you didn't get the error's or fails then your replication part is ok .

3.Then install the exchange server 2010 in the existing 2007 environment.

4.Then move all the mailboxes to exchange 2010 and create the public folder replica for exchange server 2010.

    4.Then uninstall exchange server 2007.

5.Then uninstall the domain controller role on that machine.
