Managed Serviced Account applied after SQL installed RRS feed

  • Question

  • Can a managed service account be used after the SQL server has been installed? I have only seen no, but with server 2012 and OS 2012 I wonder if this has changed.

  • Yes, SQL Server 2012 supports Managed Service Accounts. I have a slow Internet Connection now, so I can't Point you to it, but if you search for "Managed Service Account" in the SQL Server documentation you will find good info on this.

  • Tibor is probably thinking of the topic Configure Windows Service Accounts and Permissions http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms143504(v=sql.110).aspx
