mirroring help-- unable to mirror but restore seems to complete?? RRS feed

  • You are missing log files that needs to be restord with no recovery mode , else you could start again by taking a new full backup followed by a log backup and restore the new full and log backups at mirrored instance with no recovery mode , then you could start mirroring

  • after restoring the full backup with no recovery option ...take another log bakup of the database and restore that on the secondary server and then configure database mirroring....

  • Please make sure you have restored all log files after your full backups Make sure that the mirror server has caught up close enough in time to the principal. If you see above message when you attempt to start mirroring.

    Pelase resoted all log backups after your full backup with Norecovery mode on mirroring server?

  • Did you restore all missing log backup after restore full backup with norecovery mode as stated ealier?

    alternatively you can take full and log backup again and restore it on mirroring with no recovery mode and start mirroring...
