WINDOWS CE 5.0 APPLICATION DEBUGING. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I want to ask a quetion related to Application debugging:-
    That is,

If i have drivers and kernel build in release mode (that is ,I will copy the files from "C:\WINCE500\PLATFORM\folder\target\ARMV4I\retail" to "C:\WINCE500\PLATFORM\folder\target\ARMV4I\debug") and wiNce application build in debug mode to make "nk.bin"; then can i debug my application? If yes, then which tool i will use? can i use visual studio 2008 or platfrom builder or both?

  • Even better would be to add KITL and kernel debugger to your retail build for debugging.

More better :-) would be to connect VS to your device using ActiveSync and/or Ethernet and debug your application with your existing OS.
