does Windows8.1 support USB2.0 HSIC? RRS feed

  • Hi  guys,

        We need support USB2.0 HSIC , and konw there is HSIC controller for HSIC,  now my question is if Windows8  includes HSIC driver? and if no , how to communicate between USB driver and HSIC  driver? what's type driver for HSIC?

  • HSIC is intended to be transparent to the software. Therefore existing Microsoft USB stacks should run on HSIC as they do on regular USB. Having said that, there are certain restrictions with HSIC (such as lack of support for disconnect/connect of devices) that will might limit the configurations in which HSIC can be used. Microsoft USB stacks do not account for any special HSIC behavior.
