Always show a tooltip over an ATL window ??? RRS feed

  • Hi,

    I have a ATL window , I need to show a tooltip always I mouse move over it. I need the tooltip to be present aslong as the mouse is over my window.

    Please tell me how to do this.

    By default, ATL ActiveX controls do not support tooltips. To add tooltip support to your ATL ActiveX control, here are three ways.

     

    1.      Use tooltip windows common control.

    2.      Use MFC’s CToolTipCtrl class

    3.      Use CToolTipCtrl ATL class from ATLCON sample.

  •  I have tried above mentioned link example for Internet Explorer ActiveX developed using ATL. but my "AddTool()"  fails !!!

    Can you help  with it ?
