Placing mouse in Popup RRS feed

  • Question

  • Our application has an image that when the mouse hovers over, a Silverlight popup with a grid that allows scrolling will appear.  Currently, the popup appears over the image and the mouse by default resides inside the popup so that the user can then scroll if needed. Also, once the user moves the mouse outside the popup, the popup will disappear.  That works fine, however, we would like to move the popup to the left of the image and automatically place the mouse inside the popup so that the user does not have to physically move the mouse to the popup.

Is there a way to move/place the mouse into a popup regardless of where the mouse was last?

  • You cannot set the mouse position in Silverlight.  The user will have to perform that event by physically moving the mouse to the popup.

  • Hi there,

there is probably no way to set the physical position of the mouse cursor from SL code, as this would be a huge security risk.

    Cheers,
