Our software is blocked by IE with "signature corrupt or invalid" RRS feed

  • hi,

    Our softwares have been signed with certification from WoSign and published on our home page several years.

    Recently our customer complain us that:

    When download our softwares by IE, the IE says our softwares are "signature corrupt or invalid",

    and it blocked the installation. While everything is well when downloaed with other browsers.

  • You need to start using a code-signing certificate that has a SHA256 signature. As of January 1st, certificate chains containing SHA-1 are no longer trusted and result in this error.

  • By the way, this error was happening with official VirtualBox downloads for several months. Seems to be fixed now. Chrome had no problem with the VB downloads, so Edge must be enforcing a stricter standard.
