Install Failure with VC++ Redistributable RRS feed

  • Hello,

    Try the following tool.

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17588/fix-problems-that-block-programs-from-being-installed-or-removed

After that download and install the latest supported version.

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2977003

Is .NET Framework 4.5 (or later) installed? It is a requirement.

    Hope this helps.

  • Alberto,

Thank you for your reply and information.

I have .NET Framework 4.5 and 4.6.1 installed on my PC. And my SSMS (2016) was installed and is working (Windows 8 64 bit). I also has VS2015 and Data Tool installed.

However, even I uninstall/reinstall the VC++ redistributable X86 for VS 2012, I still get the same error and could NOT install the Mobile Report Builder. The diagnose tool does not help either.

I downloaded it from this site. Is there any other or newer download?

Any hint or help is appreciated.

       Thanks!

    Carol

  • Hi Carol Xie,

Your path is right. And the requirements for installing the mobile report publisher should be right too.

So, could you please share us the screenshot about the error if possible? And what's the version of your Reporting Service 2016?

    Thanks,
    Xi Jin.
