I have installed Windows 8 on a VHD and configured it to boot. It was working fine until I configured internet access and applied the updates. On installing the updates it has gone to a blank screen which I can't get past. Rebooting doesn't give me anything.
The updates were HP, ATI and I'm not sure of the other two. Would this perhaps relate to my tablet having multiple video cards? HP Touchsmart tm2 1010ea

I am having an issue where when I restart the system the Metro UI is blank- all I have is a plain green screen. No tiles are visible although they seem to be still there, tooltips will sometimes occur if I hover the mouse. I use task manager to open an Aero
window and from there I can usually access the standard Desktop interface.
I am using the latest Nvidia 286 driver, not the one that is downloaded from Windows Update. Is this the issue? I'm not sure if Windows 7 drivers are fully compatible.
