PCL Printer driver based on "bitmap" driver for windows 7 32 bit RRS feed

  • Question

  • I've modified the sample WDK 8.1 bitmap printer driver to emit clean PCL code without glyph mapping.  I've compiled a 64 bit version that works fine on windows 7 64 bit OS.

However, when I compiled a 32 bit version for use on windows 7 32 bit system, the printing application crashes after EnablePDEV and before the first DrvTextOut call.  Is there some 32 bit caveat I need to be wary of?

  • Nothing immediately comes to mind or is something I was able to find.

If you've attached a debugger, can you share the output?  Similarly, is there anything of value in the event log?
