If I import an RDLC report, it doesn't work! RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • I've installed VS 2015 and SSDT 2015. I've followed Tim Leung's procedure to show a report into a reportviewer control. Here are the exact phases:

    1) renamed RDL file to RDLC and import it into Lightswitch;

    2) added an aspx file to myreports folder, in my server directory;

    3) dragged a SqlDataSource control into my webform; logged to my database and entered the query;

    4) entered a report viewer control and a script manager onto my web form.

    5) here is the point: I selected my IMPORTED report through the smart tags of the report viewer. Then I tried to set the data source to my SqlDataSource. Well, the window is empty, so I cannot select any data source. As a result, my report doesn't work.

    Does anybody know hot to fix this problem? It works only if I develop my report from the "design a new report" link above, but it is a limited edition od SSDT; it is not useful at all.

    Thank you in advance for your help.
