Error when publishing workflow with activity: The invocation of the constructor on type XX that matches the specified binding constraints threw an exception RRS feed

  • Question

  • We are using Workflow Manager 1.0 outside of the SharePoint context. We are using Pub/Sub to publish activities and workflows that are subscribed to messages via Service Bus 1.1. When running the Workflow Manager locally on the box with Visual Studio 2013 installed, everything works great. When we try to deploy to a machine without Visual Studio we get the following message when trying to publish the Workflow that contains an activity:

Workflow XAML failed validation due to the following errors:

  • There were some missing assemblies in the solution apparently that needed to be copied to the C:\Program Files\Workflow Manager\1.0\Workflow\WFWebRoot\bin folder that the Activity or Workflow needed.
