How To Bring Back An App That Was Mistakenly Uninstalled RRS feed

  • Question

  • I mistakenly uninstalled the "Build" App and have been unsucessful trying to discover a way to reinstall it.  Is there a way to do this without reinstalling the Windows Developer Preview?  I am using a desktop PC with mouse and keyboard.

  • Gregory,

Thanks for the suggestions.  The "Refresh your PC without affecting your files" function under Control Panel/General did not bring back the app.

So I next tried the "Reset your PC and start over again" function and it did indeed bring back the "//Build/" app.  Now I just need to reinstall some programs on the desktop side.  Thanks again for you help.

  • Hey John.

Have you tried using the refresh feature under the control panel?  At this time there is no way to reinstall individual build apps without refreshing.   Refresh should restore that app for you, if not try the recover.
