PowerPoint 2010 VBA: Clear all formatting command RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm trying to take the text in a text box and strip the formatting away from it using the "Clear all formatting" command from the toolbar to return the text formatting to that supplied by the slide master. However, I can't find any reference to this in the Object Model reference pages, and I'm not sure where to look next.

I'd assumed that it would be a method of a text frame object, or possible a selection object, but so far I've had no joy.

Any advice would be very welcome!

    Thanks,

    David

  • This does not work and should not be marked as the correct answer.

  • There is no built in support for Clear Formatting in excel.

What I did was store the text in a variable, delete the text that's currently in the text range, and then set my text to what is saved in my variable.

This seems to apply the default formatting that your layout would have assigned to that text box.
