    HI ,

I am working on INTL project and I have a  Arraylist in my program which contains the Japanese strings .

When I try to locate two Japanese string[elements] using Arraylist.contains in my Array list its gives me different result [ In one case it return true and other case false ]

Please note that both of these strings are same in terms of one is represented in Hirangana and other in Katakana .

    Strings:

    1 . ミステリー・サスペンス・ハードボイルド|〔カ行の作家〕

    2. ミステリー・サスペンス・ハードボイルド|〔か行の作家〕

I know my Sql is capable enough to hanle both of these strings as it is Kana Insensitive implemented and its returns the same result for both of them.

    Thanks

    Hi Sahil,

It seems to me that the first "ka" in the last word (the one between parenthesis) is a kanji instead of being a katakana. Which wouldn't be the same, indeed...

    Hope this helps,

    Arnaud
