Use O365 and Profile containers - how to get two vhdx? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Howdy fellas,

just configured a RDS-sessionhost combo of two w/GPO and - as I thought - both profile and o365 containers (enabled via GPO, naming, size, vhdx). But there was only one vhdx created in the subdir. There should be two, shouldn't it?

The Profile was activated after the O365 container and I deleted the profile directory of the (one and only) test user. What am I missing?

If it works right there would be the choosen background pic in any session, right?

  • Hi,

Have you checked the log files in c:\programdata\fslogix\ (by default, or the folder specified in the GPO)?

  • Oh my - how could I miss this - there were already existing local profiles for the test user - and it's logged!

BTW: Besides the "usernamed".vhdxs there is a RW.vhdx in the subdir. What is it used for?

    Thanks!

  • That's because of the Profile Type you have chosen for the Containers.

See https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/fslogix/configure-concurrent-multiple-connections-ht for details about this. (sorry I can't post any links, so you'll have to copy/paste)
