  • No, sorry there are no included reporting features. You may want to try MyNeoReport:

The common reporting solution is Microsoft Report Viewer.  Is that the one you are trying to use?  It is not installed by default with the Express Edition.

You need this download and install this (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=a941c6b2-64dd-4d03-9ca7-4017a0d164fd) and then in Visual Studio you need to right-click on the control toolbox and add the control.

  • See my comments in this thread:  Report Designer in Visual C# 2010 Express

As I stated there,  I have never known the designer to work in VBE or VCSE, only in VWDE.  In the 2008 express editions, VWDE was much more capable than the VB or VCS edition.  In moving from the 2005 express editions to the 2008 express editions, the 2008 editions just worked better without major changes and very little loss of functionality.  The 2010 express editions are a whole new ball game.  Much has been lost.  Has anything been gained?

  • There have been numerous discussions on this, but I don't know if anyone has actually checked what works.  I don't have the Express Editions installed right now.

For future reference, it would be nice to know:

Q1.  If you install Report Viewer 2008, can you use it successfully in Visual Studio Express 2010.

Q2.  If you install Report Viewer 2010, can you use it successfully in Visual Studio Express 2010.
