Can "clean" be configured to remove certain files from different directories?

    Question

  • I am currently working on a project that on build, creates other files necessary for the project to run. Is there a way to configure the "clean" option under "Build" in Visual Studio 2012 to remove multiple files from multiple directories? Either by name or by file extension would be great.

  • Hi msudolcan,

    Thanks for your post.

As far as I know. It will only clean the files which generated when building the project.

I’m afraid the function you described is not supported now.

If possible. I suggest you could submit as a feature request:

    http://visualstudio.uservoice.com/forums/121579-visual-studio

The Visual Studio product team is listening to user voice there.

Then you can send your idea there so the others can vote it.

    Best Regards,
