Cannot connect to the Kinect Studio Host Service RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hey,

I want to use BodyBasics for my own application. Therefore I recorded some .xef files. Now, I wanna stream them via Kinect Studio, so they can be monitored by BodyBasics without the Kinect device.

The problem is the following error: "Cannot connect to the Kinect Studio Host Service".

I am using the Kinect Studio Version 2.0.1410.19000.

Any advices to solve the issue?

    Thanks for your help.

  • It works again without changing anything. Maybe the reboot helped?!

    Thanks for the help anyway!

  • Is your Kinect Monitor service running? Check this.

Also check the svc account it uses to run. Use an administrator account to run the KinectMonitor. See if this helps

  • I thought wiht this new Version of the Kinect Studio everything else works automatically?

    - I don't have a Kinect Monitor service (i guess). At least I can't find it. Where do I get it?

    - What is the svc account?

Sry for this kind of dumb questions, but i am really frustrated here as this all worked already...

  • Without knowing the full scope of your situation, did you have a previous version installed already?

If so have you seen Bruno's link?
