  • Question

  • Hi,

I have not been able to use my kinect v2. I have tried pretty much everything.

The configuration verifier shows everything correct except the USB controller section

    Device manager shows:

    I am using:

    Windows 8.1 Pro

    Intel Core i5 - 4460 @ 3.20GHz

    NVIDIA Geforce GTX 970

I have tried several BIOS Settings. Currently, xHCI is ENABLED (Did not work on AUTO), nor on MANUAL (with several settings).

Any clues? I am feeling very frustrated...

Sounds like a non issue - what prevents you from using the Kinect? The only point you need to check is the last point: Verify Kinect Depth and Color Streams

Do Samples / Kinect applications have any issue utilizing Kinect sensor?

Most of the time the USB Controller check reports orange or even red status even for working Kinect setups.

  • Thanks Jan,

None of the examples work. Perhaps its a problem with Microsoft Visual Studio installation?

  • Did you try to just run the examples? Because verifier screenshot you linked shows that it outputs color & depth in 30fps, no?

  • Thank you Jan. A reinstall fixed everything. Still dont get what was wrong.
