Which counters to look at on SSIS? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi guys,

I wanted to know which counters do you guys use… To capture/measure correctly SSIS servers load...

The few information I found on the internet looks outdated…

I would need OS and SQL counters to look at, also any best practice/recommendations I should be using/giving to SSIS servers.

    Thanks!!

  • AFAIK nothing is outdated

Here is the link to SQL Server 2016 (CTP1) even, https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms137622.aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396

in the drop down there is access to all the older SSIS versions.

  • Thank you very much! that was really helpful!

I was also trying to get 3 or 4 counters with ‘recommended values’ to check if my ssis servers is running within those values…. Which counters should I use? What do you suggest Arthur?

    Thanks in advance.

  • If you need an overall "health check report" then the following need to be aligned relative to the general OS counters

    • Buffer memory
    • Buffers in use
    • Buffers spooled
    • Rows read
    • Rows written
