longitude latitude and browser language RRS feed

  • Hello,

     

    I am working with sqlserver 2005. I want to store latitude and longitude on database.

     

    Why i have to use System.Globalization.CultureInfo to save my datas ?

    Same probleme with display it !!!!!!

     

    Not the same display with differents browser !!!!!

     

    Virtual earth display as "." as 43.1234

    SQLServer want "," as 43,1234

     

    What is the solution in order to display, use and save this kind of datas ?

  • 5 decimal places is approximately 1 meter on the Earth (varies based on Latitiude).

    How accurate do you need to be?

  • Very odd, in SQL 2005 I use two fields: Latitude and Longitude. Both of type "float".

    What are you using?

  • I am using decimal(18, 15), cause float do a round of my values
