Mobile Broadband API Sample - Fails to enumerate MB device

    Question

  • Tried the sample on the samsung developer preview box, and when clicked on "Get Next Device Information", it shows "MB Device Hardware Failure Error: Element not found" - basically it fails to enumerate the MB device in the system, possibly due to access denial. I suspect something related to metadata filling device information and registration of the sample app with app store? Could you please give some directions to proceed further on working with a MB device?

  • That error suggests that no valid device was selected to try to process.  When you run the sample does it report any valid devices installed and access granted?  If you step through the initialize function does the mobileBroadbandDevices variable get filled?

  • mobileBroadbandDevices.size is filled with 0. Meaning it does not find broadband devices possibly due to access not granted.
