Bug in Context designer generated Code RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am running VS2008 and SQL server 2005. I have a table with name ending with "Status" ie. xyzStatus.

    The generated code looks like as follows

    public System.Data.Linq.Table<xyzStatus> xyzStatus
            {
                get
                {
                    return this.GetTable<xyzStatus>();
                }
            }

    I believe the property name should be in plural. Am I right? Is this a bug? If I fix this bug, I will overwrite every time I re-generate. Is any other work around with this issue. I appreciate any suggestions.

    Thanks

    Ravi

  • There is a setting under Tools/Options/Database Tools/OR Designer that controls whether the designer attempts to pluralize names or not. Check so that setting is set to "true".

    I the setting above does not help: I have an add-in that gives more control over dc member, class and member property names - see http://www.huagati.com/dbmltools/ for details.
