Viewing Style Shortcuts RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

if I assign a shortcut to a macro or command it appears in the ribbon, when hovering over it. If I assign a shortcut to a style, it doesn't show when hovering over the style.

Is there any way to accomplish that?

    TIA,
    Peeter

No, it doesn't. As far as I know, Word has never displayed keybaord shortcuts for styles.

If you were to create your own Ribbon XML, with controls for the styles, you could add the shortcuts to the keytip. But coding it all to make it completely dynamic would be non-trivial.

  • Hi Peeter

What kind of shortcut are we talking about? Keyboard?

    Which version of Word?

  • Thanks for your interest in this matter,

I mean a keyboard shortcut, like Ctrl+B. Word version 2010.
