InternetExplorer.Application behaving badly in Excel 2013 VBA RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

Code that is working nicely in previous versions of Excel is having some problems. Where is sample to test with:

    Sub

    dim IE As Object
    dim cookie As String

    Set IE = CreateObject("InternetExplorer.application")

    IE.Navigate "http://www.somepage.having.cookie"

    cookie = IE.Document.cookie

    debug.print cookie

    end sub

What happes is that IE object gets created but when its directed to target page Excel looses the object.. and all IE related fails after that. Is there new object for 2013 that should be used instead. Or should this work as before?

    Any hints?

    Regards,

    Pekka

  • Hi Dilbertti,

Thank you for posting in the MSDN Forum.

    I cannot reproduce your scenario.

I've tried on both my Office 2010 and Office 2013 machine, and I can get the result on both side.

Could you please show me the detail information about your machine, such as

    • Office 2013 version (Customer Preview? Professional Plus?)
    • Office 2013 bit. (32-bit? 64-bit?)
    • System version.
    • System bit.
    • IE version.

I look forward to your reply.

    Best regards,
