SQLadminExtension extension failed to load on Admin Portal RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi there,

I finished the SQL Resource provider deployment using the DeploySqlProvider.ps1 script on the ASDK host. If I verify the SQL Resource provider deployment I can see 4 deployments succeeded.

Then I have the following issues:

    • I cannot set up a Quota for the Microsoft.SQLAdapter Service. The associated Blade to create a new Quota does not load.
    • Also if I try to deploy a SQL HostingServer I get the error "SQLadminExension extension failed to load. Refresh the browser to try again". If I refresh the portal I get the same error.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Can you verify the version of Azure Stack you are running? There is an incompatibility between the latest resource providers (1.1.8.0) and Azure Stack builds older than 20171020.1. If you can't move up to the latest version of Azure Stack, I have added links to the previous builds of the RPs (docs will be updated today around 10AM PST).

  • Hi Jeff,

The Azure Stack version I am using is version 1.0.170928.3.

So I removed the SQL Resource Provider I installed using the files from the Web documentation available right now, download your files and redeploy the SQL Provider with the new files. Now it works.

    Thanks for your help.

    Best Regards.
