Where are the Windows 7 games RRS feed

  • I've upgraded a 32bit instalation of Windows 7 Ultimate to Windows 8 and I cant find the games (Solitaire, Mahjong, etc.) where are they?

  • Upgrading to WDP does not keep installed programs. You can keep accounts, files, and settings only. A future release may (or may not) contain games.

     

    Not all the features are included in the Windows 8 Developer Preview.

    From the Building Windows 8 blog:
    NOTE: The preview build does not include every feature shown this morning.  Shown but not in the Developer Preview release include the Windows Store, Windows Live Metro style apps, and some of the user interface features.  The focus of the preview is the API and development tools for building Metro style apps.

  • Wouldn't you call Office 2010 a set of applications. Office was kept and Outlook has all accounts and PSTs.

    Windows 7 games should probably be considered part of Windows and they were on Windows 7 and aren't on Windows 8. I'll have to dig them out.
